                Sev Tameta nu Shaak is a famous traditional easy Gujarati Recipe or Kathiawadi recipe. See more Gujarati Recipes. In Gujarat, Sev Tameta nu Shaak is known as Sev Tamatar ki Sabji. It is a popular  and delicious main course subji prepared with sev, tomatoes, onion, garlic, and other spices. It is a very quick and easy to make. Sev Tameta nu Shaak (Sev Tamatar ki Sabji) is often cooked in Gujarati’s home. It gives very tangy in flavor.
Sev is a Gujarati snack but now it is popular in all over India. It is made from gram flour. It looks like salted crispy yellow colored vermicelli.
Here is step by step recipe of Sev Tameta nu Shaak or Sev Tamatar ki Subji.


Ingredients:

                Oil – 3 tbs
                Onion – 1 chopped
                Garlic – 5 cloves chopped
                Tomatoes – 6 chopped
                Sev – 100 gms
                Red chili powder – 1 ½ ts
                Coriander powder – 1 ts
                Cumin powder – ½ ts
                Turmeric powder – ¼  ts
                Salt – to taste
                Sugar – ½ ts
                Coriander and Sev - for Garnishing

Method:

1.       Heat oil in a pan.
2.       Add onion and garlic and cook till golden color of onion.
3.       Add tomatoes.
4.       Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, sugar.
5.       Cook for 10 minutes in medium flame.
6.       Add sev and cook for 2 minutes.
7.       Tasty SEV TAMETA NU SHAAK or SEV TAMATAR KI SABJI is ready.

Serving Tip:


                Garnish coriander and sev on Sev Tameta nu Shaak (Sev Tamatar ki Sabji). It gives crunchy taste. Serve hot with Plain Paratha or Kathiawadi Rotla or Bhakhari and with butter milk and onion rings.
